English language challenges

Hello, readers! I hope you're all well. In fact, it's the end of my English course journey. I started this course last semester, and it was good. This semester was strange because the context was and the online mode is being complicated for some people.

In my experience, in all English courses I have had problems with the ability to listen in a comprehensive way, and I need to improve that and other things. I usually understand English very well from people whose native language is Spanish, but when I try to understand people who really speak English it confuses me and I don't understand it, I think the problem is that their accent and their speed makes it difficult for me. I can't process all the information in such a short time because I still can't "think in English". I also need to improve my ability to conjugate verbs because the rules are confusing me.

I used to use English a lot outside of class because all my music was in English, I watched movies and series in this language and I had to read books in my English class in high school, but nowadays I don't use it much, I could say that I use it only when it is necessary and I am forced to use it; reading articles, the subtitles of some movie or documentary, or when a video does not have translation or subtitles.

To close this blog, the course was a good experience, the activities make the course not boring, it made me think about things I never thought or planned, thanks for that!

Academic programme

Regarding the subjects, I feel that all the subjects that I have are very important to have a good education in this career, but I also feel that in the first cycle (all the first grade) I had very general subjects far from the profession, such as anthropology and sociology. I must confess that I really loved these subjects, but I don't think they are fundamental to our training. Now, I know that in the new curriculum, the new generations do not have these subjects and have transversal courses. I really agree with that. I feel that our discipline is very flexible and we have many ways to assess our knowledge, but sometimes it is a difficult workload if you do not develop skills such as reading quickly and comprehensively, having a good writing or even speaking and I always have informed opinions. It takes a long time and is a problem for take courses and do co-curricular activities. And about the infrastructure I don't really have any complaints, I feel like it's fine.

I do not know the technology of our faculty, once I went to computers and no more, I´d like have more technology  in laboratory to do many types of experiments and not only about associative learning, it could be really interesting because this type of learning is better than just theory , and this is the type of learning that I would like to have, it gives us more interaction with our knowledge, the idea is not only to have the information in the book, we need it in practice because it could prepare us to work in the future

The Virus

Hi all! I hope that everyone is well in this time of apocalypse because, in efect, I´ll talk about it. My family and I´ve been lucky at the moment, we live in a small town in the middle of a field where we don't have any cases of coronavirus and we aren´t in quarantine but anyway we take the preventive measures, and we go out only if is really necessary because I live with my grandparents and they are at-risk group, but also we have family in the city and it concerned us

Seeing the good part, I believe that this pandemic has been an opportunity to change our hygiene habits and become aware the importance of cleaning our hands carefully. I've also see more social conscience and empathy in the lower class to face the economic problems of this pandemic.

I´ve don't rediscovered any activity haha ​​but now I could say that I´m always watching series or films, oh! I was forgetting that I learned to knit, but I'm not really good, It bored me because I never progress.

My studies have had a lot of problems, my internet is not good because where I live we have bad signal, when I have synchronuss classes it makes me often leave the videoconference, and it is really exhausting and stressful,

I'm always trying to be most optimistic about the context but I can't. The TV is always on in my house and the news are always saying bad things, the government does nothing good. And in the future I think that we all be afraid about new viruses for a few years, maybe, My prognosis for this virus is not optimistic, I think it will take a long time for it to finish and to be able to leave home.

Courses after graduate?

Is really hard to think about it now, because I don't know what could happen about the future, my future, that of my family or of the world. But leaving these things aside, I'd like take many courses after graduate, about my career and others. The subjects where I'd like to deepen could be in legal, forensic, and childish, I' ll know that maybe is too much haha but is a dream, and nowadays I cannot decide for one. My reasons to think about it are, in general, be a better professional and provide the  best service and attention to my patients, and I believe that with more knowledge and accumulated experience I could do it.

                                         

I 'd love to study out of my country, in Spain or  perhaps in United States because here are the best universities in the area of psychology, but the language could be a problem. Nowadays and with the experience with online classes I´d never decide for distance learning, because it is really exhausting, but I yes lean on to part-time learning. I think that in these situation I´d have to work to have enough money and survive in other country.

I  don´t know how to feel about all this, is a dream, the education is a expensive market and not all of us can acces to improvements of this type, but anyway I´ll try.

My future job

When I reflect about my future job, I see me working in the profession that I'm studying, as psychologist, now I'm not sure about the area and I dont know if it would be my profession during all my life , but I think that approximatly it will be about ten years or more.

I’ve always felt that I use to undestand the people, their feelings, thinkings and I was try to have a good comprehension about it to finally help that person. It was a good impulse to start the career. I'd like do this job because it makes me feel so human in a world that is dominated by the superficiallity and the problems that it has.

The skills that we need to developmented our profession are listen sympathetically, also the empathy is a very important point, we don't have to make the patient feel like we're judging him, we need skills to really understand the subjectivity of the people unprejudiced.

I think that the reward of my future job would be the satisfaction of help people to do a little bit better their life , I feel that these profession is not about money, but is about calling, nobody could do a good job here if is only thinking about money

About cinema

At first, I like too much the cinema, but I'm not use to be that kind of person that spend hours and hours looking a movie. To me, two hours of a movie is too much, but when I watch series I can spend days seeing it, I'm not sure about why is that difference but I do haha

About series, I love the job of Vince Gilligan as producer of Breaking Bad and Better call Saúl, this two series are my favorites. Recently I finally ended Better call Saúl and I'm so anxiuos about the 6th season but it will be in Netflix at 2021. BB and BCS are complementary series, and BCS is a parallel story about one character that was in Breaking Bad, it was Saúl, the lawyer of main characters (Walter White and Jesse Pinkman), they started to traffic methanphetamine at incredible levels by their life circunstances. By the other way BCS shows how Jimmy Mcgill started to be Saúl Goodman, a lawyer without moral and very liar


I love  this spin- off  because the characters made me hate and love they at the same time! is difficult to decide by one character because here dont have the typical good and bad character. They all do bad actions but sometimes we can understand why they do that and how they started to be like that

The best holiday I've have

I'm not a person that goes out a lot, but this summer, with my friends of all the life, went out to the beach. Honestly I dont like too much the beach but I went with my friends and those three days was all an experience. 

Was the week where the people celebrated this place, Pichilemu, and we went to concerts of Lucybell, Inti-Illimani and others all the nigths, and then we sat down in front of the beach to talk about life until very late hour. During the days, we go down to the beach to take some sun and wind (Pichilemu is very windy), we ate fast food and went to buy some souvenirs to our families and other friends. Then in the evening, we drank a lot in our cottage, danced and played cards.  It was really crazy and funny. 

To go down to the beach we had to walk a lot, and to the downtown we had to walk a little more. It was really exhaustive but singing old sings it starts to be fun

The landscape of my life

                                                  Which country would you like to go?


If you ask me about it I can't help but think of Sweden. I'm a nature lover! and Sweden, in my opinion, has the most beautiful landscapes. I visualize amazing forest, the winter is very long and I love that, the snow is the best, that crystalline and frozen lakes, its archipelages and its politic system is one of the best in world. Absolutly I need to know the famous northern ligths in Laponia, It is in far north of Sweden and that ligths appear when the sun goes down, since the months of october to march. The Kungsleden is a extraordinary path because has a lot of landscapes like alpine scenes, forest of birch trees, lakes, little towns and mountains.

Of course I would like to live, study and work here! Sweden is one of countries that has the best quality of life in all aspects because its politic system known as welfare state is very efficient and I would like to experiment and to contrast the differences to my country.
